GAME UPDATES

Perfect XI is actively developed. Here is what has changed, when, and what is being worked on next.

Season 26/27 update — August 2026

The biggest update the game has had. The squad database was rebuilt for the real 2026/27 Premier League, so Wolves, West Ham and Burnley are gone and Coventry, Ipswich and Hull are in, with every squad reflecting the summer transfer window.

Dynasty realism pass — July 2026

Dynasty career mode was rebuilt around realistic football economics. Players are assigned career ages weighted to a 24 to 27 prime, goalkeepers age two years later than outfielders, and retirement became a probability curve rather than a hard cut-off, so careers now end anywhere between 33 and 40.

Transfer values were rebuilt against the real 2025 and 2026 markets: fees rise steeply with rating, peak between 24 and 26, and fall off a cliff after 29. Budgets rose to match, from £160m for champions down to £25m at the bottom.

Dynasty, Daily Challenge and duels — earlier in 2026

Dynasty career mode arrived, carrying one finished XI across multiple seasons with ageing, a transfer market, board objectives, a manager rating and the sack. The Daily Challenge gives everyone the same seeded spins once a day with a shareable scorecard, friend duels let you send a code so someone else drafts from your exact board, and weekly events rotate rule twists like Nineties Week and Moneyball.

What is coming next

The next major piece of work is competitive leaderboards, which needs server-side verification so scores cannot be forged. The match engine being deterministic makes that possible. Beyond that: more data guides built from the database, and continued squad updates as the 2026/27 season progresses.
